Wet Weather Outlook for Dublin Half Marathon

With 9,000 runners lining up for the sold-out SSE Airtricity Dublin Half Marathon, and the weather been “changeable” lately, I thought it might be good to check the longer forecast for Saturday morning. The race has returned to the Phoenix Park now, and starts at 9:30am. However, it looks like it’s going to be a wet one: here’s the satellite view around start time:

That Infrared view covering most of Munster, Leinster and parts of Connaught, is unfortunately RAIN! Let’s hope there’s some change, but for now, make sure you have a nice plastic bag over you to keep warm and dry at the start. And maybe a change of clothes for afterwards. It’s Ireland in late September… nobody should really be surprised!

Please note, there is a slight amendment to the course, due to VIP guest visiting Farmleigh. Runners will now run up Whites Road instead of going through Farmleigh and at Mile 11, they will run past the American Ambassador Residence.
